Your tasks As a Charge Nurse, you will work at the Expert and Development Center, in the crisis, research, and rehabilitation unit, as well as in the demanding residential services unit in Kojan, Kårkulla area, Kirjala. The units have a total of 17 client places and serve bilingual welfare areas in Finland and the Åland Islands. In this role, you are responsible for leading, planning, and developing the units' health and medical care, as well as ensuring safe and high-quality care. Your key responsibilities include: - Overall responsibility for medication management, medication licenses, and medication plans in collaboration with healthcare staff - Responsibility for clients' health and medical care, doctor visits, and monitoring of individual goals - Responsibility for aseptic techniques, basic hygiene practices, and infection monitoring and reporting - Responsibility for medical devices, including staff training and guidance - Responsibility for high-quality documentation and staff guidance on documentation matters - Coordination of nurses' work and acting as a substitute for the unit’s service manager when necessary - Other tasks assigned by the employer What we offer you We offer a scenic work environment in Kirjala, working in a multidisciplinary team, and good opportunities for further training. Experience in disability services, psychiatry, and leadership is considered an advantage, as well as knowledge of intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities. A valid LOVe: A license is also required. The qualification requirement for the position is a licensed practical nurse qualification according to the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994).
