Job Description

Join our professional multidisciplinary team consisting of experts in the field. HUS Diagnostic Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of operation is the specialized healthcare of the HUS consortium and primary healthcare in the well-being areas affiliated with HUS. We also handle laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia well-being areas. We operate in eight medical specialties. We are responsible for several specialized examinations nationally, as well as research and teaching at university hospitals. Diagnostic tests play a central role in confirming, excluding, treating, monitoring, and screening for diseases. About 3,300 laboratory and imaging specialists work at HUS Diagnostic Center across more than 150 locations. We are seeking two laboratory nurses for parental leave replacements in the Clinical Physiology unit at Meilahti, Puistosairaala. Your duties include diverse tests related to clinical physiology, such as long-term blood pressure and ECG recordings, comprehensive respiratory function tests, various stress tests, and autonomic nervous system examinations. Our goal is timely, safe, and high-quality customer service. Depending on your interests, your workdays may include development and responsibility tasks such as supervising students, safety, occupational health and safety, ergonomics, resuscitation, chemicals, medication, or quality management. You are motivated and committed to developing as an expert, but above all, we hope you are a team player. The position requires good spoken and written Finnish language skills. Experience in clinical physiology through work or internships is an advantage but not essential. The work begins on July 20, 2026, or as agreed. The position's salary is €2,957.14/month, with possible experience and other allowances. Welcome to join our team! Qualifications for the position: Licensed laboratory nurse. Language requirements include good spoken and written Finnish, and satisfactory spoken and written Swedish, or good spoken and written Swedish and satisfactory Finnish. We require vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in customer and patient areas, and health status verification for those working in healthcare units for tuberculosis.
