A strong safety culture is our priority and at the core of our everyday work — something we never take for granted. We are also committed to doing our share in solving the climate challenge by determinedly following our science-based pathway to decarbonize our operations. We find meaning in our purpose: With our heart in Finland, we make every journey better, today and tomorrow. Our values — Always Safe, Customer at Heart and Stronger Together — guide us in everything we do. Intelligent Operations is a new organization within Finnair Digital, focused on accelerating the digital transformation of airline operations. We bring together expertise in technology, data, architecture, integrations, and operational development to build reliable digital capabilities that support operational workflows and decision-making across the airline. In this role, you will manage and coordinate integration-related development needs across the airline’s operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Digital Product Owners, developers, architects, vendors, and other Digital teams to ensure that needs are understood, prioritized, translated into clear requirements, and delivered in a structured way. You will play an important role in bringing clarity and ownership to integration demand management. As integration needs come from several business lines and operational areas, this role will help create a more centralized and transparent way of managing priorities, dependencies, and delivery progress. This is a delivery role with a strong technical angle. You do not need to be a hands-on developer, but you should be comfortable discussing integration solutions, understanding technical dependencies, asking the right questions, and working closely with developers and architects to turn business needs into practical and reliable solutions. Main responsibilities Own and manage the integrations backlog for Operations, ensuring that business needs are captured, clarified, prioritized, and visible to relevant stakeholders. Work closely with business stakeholders and Digital Product Owners to align integration development with business and product priorities. Translate business needs into clear, structured technical requirements for developers and delivery teams. Coordinate integration development from initial request and analysis through development, testing, release, and final delivery. Work with developers, architects, vendors, and other Digital teams to align dependencies, clarify solution options, and remove delivery obstacles. Support release planning and communication, ensuring that stakeholders have a clear view of priorities, progress, risks, and delivered changes. Contribute to improving backlog management, documentation, ways of working, and the reliability of integration delivery. Our expectations Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology, or another relevant field. Experience in digital delivery, product ownership, business analysis, project management, or a similar role in a technology-driven environment. Good technical understanding of software development, system integrations, APIs, data flows, AWS, and cloud-based solutions. Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and work confidently with developers, architects, vendors, and Digital Product Owners. Experience with backlog management, prioritization, agile ways of working, and coordinating work across teams. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Practical ownership mindset and ability to drive topics forward from idea to delivery. Experience with MQ, Boomi, middleware, operational systems, or business-critical data flows is considered an advantage. Experience in aviation, airline operations, or another operationally critical environment is considered an advantage. Fluency in English is required. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage. Working at Finnair We offer you an exciting opportunity in the multifaceted and fast-changing aviation and travel industry, along with a great team and wide personal development opportunities. At Finnair, ambitious, competent, and motivated people can really make a difference.
