Early Childhood Education Instructor - Loviisan kaupunki - Loviisa, Finland

The Early Childhood Education Services of the City of Loviisa are seeking an early childhood education instructor for a fixed-term position at Isnäs Daycare from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027. Isnäs Daycare is a small bilingual daycare located about 40 km from the center of Loviisa. The school buildings are adjacent to the daycare, allowing children to play on school grounds. The area near the daycare includes forests, the sea, a sports field, an ice skating rink, and a gymnastics park. The atmosphere at Isnäs Daycare is safe and familiar. Children spend a lot of time together during the day. Older children learn to consider younger children, and cooperation is flexible and smooth. The main task of the instructor is to support and guide the child as a member of the group and to enable the child's participation in group activities together with the early childhood education staff. As an early childhood education instructor, you will work as a professional in nurturing and guiding children in early special education. You will take care of the child's daily needs and promote their well-being and holistic development as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will support the child's development and promote their participation and sense of community using various means of expression and guidance methods. The special education teacher will support you in your work, together with the unit manager and deputy manager. The weekly working hours are 38.25 hours. The position requires good communication skills and the ability to consider the guidance and support needs of individuals from different backgrounds. It is important to us that you bring your expertise to benefit children and the work community. Qualifications are based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). We require a qualification in the care and education of children and young people for practical nurses. Since Isnäs Daycare is bilingual, proficiency in both languages is considered an advantage. The selected person must present a criminal record extract issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) before starting the position and submit a medical certificate of health within 30 days of starting employment.
