Lapin hyvinvointialue organizes personal assistance services under the Act on Disability Services as its own operation, for disabled people and for those with long-term illness. Duties include assisting a disabled person in daily activities, work or study, interaction, leisure activities or social participation. It may also involve aiding in self-care activities related to health maintenance and long-term illness care instructions. Assistance takes place in morning, evening and weekend shifts. Eligibility requires suitable education or work experience. The job is not for minors. Owning a car is advantageous as the day includes several transfers. Good IT skills are valued as the job includes recording, using an appointment calendar and participating in online trainings. Fluency in Finnish is required. We value a positive work attitude, reliability and initiative. The position pays 2300.83 €/month. Terms of employment follow the Social and Health Services (Sote) agreement. Selected candidate must present a criminal background check for working with elderly and disabled before starting. We follow vaccination requirements per the law and infection control.
