Head of System Engineering - ReOrbit - Remote - Global

ReOrbit is looking for a Head of System Engineering to lead system engineering team. As our Head of System Engineering, you will be responsible for driving end to end system architecture, ensuring requirements integrity, and enabling effective coordination across all technical domains. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing company and work on next generation satellite platforms where communication reliability is mission critical from day one. Responsibilities include leading system engineering across the space and ground segment, owning requirements integrity, managing system budgets, driving coordination across domains, establishing processes, providing technical direction, building and mentoring a team, and supporting hiring. Requirements include experience leading system engineering teams on multiple spacecraft programs, full lifecycle experience, applying ECSS standards, familiarity with NASA Systems Engineering Handbook, leading system level V&V activities, making trade-offs and architectural decisions, translating customer needs, strong communication skills, understanding satellite subsystems, satellite testing, and a production-oriented mindset.
