We are hiring a fixed-term Early Childhood Educator for Ruiskukka Daycare from August 3, 2026, to May 31, 2027. The position initially involves working with a group of 3-5-year-old children. Ruiskukka Daycare is a wonderful multicultural and community-oriented daycare that cares for its staff. The qualification requirement for an Early Childhood Educator is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (Section 75). A basic qualification in social and health care is required, with additional studies focused on children and youth. Knowledge of diabetes and medication administration skills are required. Medication administration tests can also be completed in the fall when starting employment. The salary for the Early Childhood Educator position is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,456.83 to €2,567.07. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and any other level-based allowances according to the Collective Agreement for Municipal Employees (KVTES). Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 55), the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable statement from the employee or trainee/students that they do not have active pulmonary tuberculosis. This statement must be provided before signing the employment contract. The position includes a trial period. Applications are primarily submitted via the electronic application form.
