Job Description
As an Automation Engineer in our engineering team in Gotha, you will ensure that our modern production and manufacturing facilities run optimally and are continuously improved. You will bridge traditional automation technology and modern IT, optimize control software, and implement IoT interfaces for intelligent networking of software and hardware. The position is permanent, full-time, and includes rotating on-call duty. Key tasks include software development for machines, interface design (IoT), commissioning & testing, clean code & documentation, and continuous improvement & analysis. Qualifications include a degree in Computer Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related field, proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., C#, C++, Java, Python), and fluent German and English skills. Preferred skills include knowledge of PLC programming (IEC 61131-3, TwinCAT, CODESYS, TIA Portal).
