Join the Team! We are looking for a skilled and versatile restaurant professional for Juvenes Rata in the Toasin Hippos block, to work in the lunch and catering restaurant. We seek a professional cook who masters kitchen skills confidently but also enjoys working with customers in the dining area. At Juvenes Rata, you will be part of a warm and friendly work community that values expertise, humor, and a positive attitude. The role offers significant responsibility and daily opportunities for success—our customers appreciate the quality food and good service, which is reflected in the daily work. Work shifts are scheduled from Monday to Saturday, approximately from 06:00 to 20:00. The work is primarily full-time, considering school holidays. Initially, the position is temporary, with potential for extension. The start date is in July/August, and employment continues until the end of the year. Please note that the recipes and production control system are in Finnish, so good Finnish language skills are required. We also hope you can work independently. The customer volume is between 500 and 1000 daily, so we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage overall tasks. We require at least three years of experience in the restaurant industry. The duties of a cook include: · Preparing lunch dishes and other daily kitchen tasks · Plating lunch and replenishing the buffet · Preparing salad bar items · Preparing products for meetings and events · Operating the cash register if needed · Customer service together with the dining staff Salary according to Mara Collective Agreement, €14.08–15.04/hour depending on experience.
