Job Description
Are you a driven sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals? Do you have the experience and ambition to grow a market? We’re looking for a high-performing Business Developer to accelerate our expansion in Finland. At IXON, we connect machines with their builders. We are at the forefront of revolutionising the way machines are connected, monitored and controlled. By providing an end-to-end solution, consisting of our in-house developed cloud platform and connectivity hardware, we empower machine builders with the tools and technology to stay future-proof and transform the way they do business. All with one goal: more efficient production with the lowest possible impact on the world. As Business Developer Finland, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our presence in the Finnish market. You’ll take full ownership of new business development—identifying opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term customers. This is a role for a true “hunter”: someone who enjoys creating opportunities from scratch and turning conversations into commercial success. Identifying and targeting new business opportunities among e.g. Finnish machine builders. Owning the full sales cycle: from prospecting and first contact to negotiation and closing. Building and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts and decision-makers. Collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales Support, and Solution Engineers to optimise customer outcomes. Providing market insights and feedback to strengthen IXON’s go-to-market strategy in Finland. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and results-oriented. You are energised by winning new business and you’re comfortable operating independently in a developing market. You also bring: 5-8 years of B2B sales experience, with a strong track record in new business development. A clear hunter mentality and proven ability to generate and close new opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Fluency in Finnish and English. A proactive, self-driven approach with high accountability. Affinity with industrial automation, SaaS/cloud solutions, or mechanical engineering (preferred). A valid driving licence and access to a car, with willingness to travel within Finland.
