Job Description
Join us in shaping the future of Järvenpää! We build a smooth everyday life with 1,600 professionals. Everyone has the opportunity to learn and develop their work. We in Järvenpää value a coaching approach, community-driven work, learning opportunities, and a flexible work culture. Are you interested in working with youth and meeting new people with enthusiasm? We are looking for a start coach for Järvenpää's youth services. The city of Järvenpää and Keuda are developing and testing a combined start coaching and adult basic education group for the 2026-2027 school year, aimed at youth transitioning from basic education to adult education, needing support including start coaching. The goal is to complete basic education and strengthen youth well-being, life skills, and school readiness. If continued funding is granted, start coaching will primarily target young adults outside education and work life. The upcoming model for adult basic education will be an option within start coaching. You will work with Keuda's adult education teacher and be part of the youth services team. The work is varied and fast-paced, involving multidisciplinary teamwork. The environment encourages utilizing your strengths and developing further. We emphasize coaching leadership and content development. More about our culture: https://www.jarvenpaa.fi/itseohjautuvuus. We expect you to have strong workshop experience, especially in start coaching, youth work, and multidisciplinary implementation. Good knowledge of basic and secondary education is essential to develop a comprehensive service for youth, including individual and group coaching and personalized study plans. The role involves development work, guidance, and education, not remote work or alone. Continuous reflection and documentation are required. You should have relevant experience working with youth and families, with a respectful, sensitive approach. Good communication, interaction, and conversational skills are necessary, along with familiarity with workshop methods and key partners' services. We value a self-directed work attitude, initiative, and community spirit. Mobility requires a driver's license. For more info, contact hr@jarvenpaa.fi. The application deadline is 18.6.2026 at 15:00, with interviews on 25.6., 26.6., and 30.6. Send applications electronically via Järvenpää's recruitment system.
