Youth Worker - Mäntsälän kunta - Mäntsälä, Finland

Mäntsälän kunta is seeking a youth worker for a six-month fixed-term position in youth services from September 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, or as agreed. The role involves coordinating the Finnish model of hobbies and developing cultural youth work. The youth worker will promote well-being, participation, and recreational opportunities for children and youth in collaboration with schools, cultural services, associations, and other partners. Responsibilities include organizing activities, quality development, ensuring accessibility, reporting, and managing projects and grants. The role emphasizes collaboration with basic education and hobby activity organizers, and developing cultural youth work by promoting creative activities such as art, music, media, and events. The role also involves strengthening children's and youth's participation, planning, implementing, and evaluating youth services, and working actively in networks with educational, cultural, and local organizations. The ideal candidate has a relevant higher education degree or equivalent, experience in youth work, hobby activities, cultural work, or school cooperation, and good communication, cooperation, and networking skills. The position requires a development-oriented, solution-focused approach, initiative, organizational ability, and proficiency in Microsoft 365. Knowledge of the Hellewi system is an advantage. The salary is 2933.99 EUR/month, with possible experience-based additional pay. The position is full-time, 38.25 hours/week, with a three-month trial period.
