The municipality of Karstula is seeking a fixed-term school physical education instructor for the period from August 10, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The position is part of a state-funded project aimed at increasing daily physical activity among children and youth, strengthening the physical activity culture in schools, and developing physical education as part of the Move! process. Job responsibilities: As a school physical education instructor, you will be part of the daily life and well-being activities of schools. The work includes: Supervising recess and physical activities, Planning and implementing active breaks, Advising and motivating students in physical activity, Supporting children and youth with low activity levels, Collaborating with teachers, school health services, guardians, and sports services, Utilizing Move! measurements in physical activity guidance, Supporting staff in making the school day more active. The position is based at Karstula Comprehensive School and High School.
