Construction Engineer Position - Tervolan kunta - Tervola, Finland

The construction engineer operates under the technical department and is responsible for building supervision as well as the property and public areas division (including sports and leisure facilities). The duties include tasks such as building inspection, comprehensive development of municipally owned properties and real estate assets (e.g., classification, energy efficiency, maintenance, operational procedures), guidance, development of public areas and sports facilities, management of property registry, and substituting for the technical director. Qualifications required include a relevant higher education degree in construction or a degree in accordance with the transitional provisions of section 108 of the Land Use and Building Act. Additionally, the applicant must have experience related to construction planning and execution (Building Act 103.2 §). The job requires the ability to use a personal car and good proficiency in Finnish. Experience in building supervision and the municipal sector is appreciated. Leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team are valued. Experience with the Lupapiste.fi service is considered an advantage. The salary for the position is determined according to the municipal technical staff collective agreement. A six-month probationary period will be observed. The position will be filled as soon as possible. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health before starting.
