Are you the person we are looking for? **Sports Instructor / Hobby Coach, Football** **Location:** Päiväkummun School: Tue 14:15-16:15, Askisto School: Tue 14:15-16:15, Kivimäki School: Wed 14:15-16:15 (only autumn season), Veromäki School: Wed 14:15-16:15 **Fixed-term employment:** September 1, 2026 – May 15, 2027 We are looking for a sports instructor for a fixed-term hourly position. In this role, you will lead football groups aimed at elementary school children and promote the idea of sports as part of a good life and everyday routine. You will be responsible for independently planning and leading hobby sessions. In practice, you will act as an enthusiastic and safe coach. During the sessions, you will guide children to try football or various ball games. You will create a relaxed atmosphere at the sessions where everyone can dare to be themselves; try, learn, succeed, and get excited at their own skill level. In your work, you will represent the principles of a Safe Space by ensuring their implementation in all coaching situations. **We especially expect from you:** - Sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience in coaching children’s physical activities. - Good group management skills. - A humane and encouraging working attitude. - Willingness to commit to the task for a fixed period and to carry out your responsibilities reliably. **We consider it an advantage if you:** - Have studies as a personal trainer, sports teacher, or sports instructor OR - Have studies in youth work, social services, or pedagogy OR - Have participated in or coached football and have experience in other ball games. The position requires you to be of legal age, and if selected, you will need to present a criminal record extract (Child Welfare Background Check Act 504/2002). **As a good employer, we offer a competitive hourly wage** of €30/hour (including holiday pay) and accident insurance.
