We are now looking for an experienced and business-oriented Head of Projects to lead and develop our project and project management operations within our Industry customer projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing project execution excellence, strengthening collaboration between sales and projects, and ensuring profitable project delivery throughout the project lifecycle. The role combines project leadership, people management, business development, and continuous improvement responsibilities. Your role As Head of Projects you will lead and develop our project management function while ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You will act as a key link between sales and project execution, creating a seamless customer journey from quotation to project handover and final delivery. Your responsibilities include: • Leading and developing the Project Management team • Ensuring successful execution of customer projects from initiation to completion • Planning project resources and project follow-up • Supporting project teams in customer communication, negotiations, and change management situations • Driving continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and ways of working • Developing project management practices in line with VEO's strategic goals • Monitoring project performance, schedules, budgets, and profitability • Collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and support functions to ensure one-team operations • Leading people according to VEO's leadership principles through goal setting, development discussions, coaching, and competence development • Participating in customer meetings and supporting strategic customer relationships What we expect from You To succeed in this role, you have a strong combination of project management expertise, leadership capability, and commercial understanding. You have: • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering or a related technical field • Several years of experience in project management, project delivery, or business management within industrial, automation, or electrical engineering environments • Proven experience in leading people and developing high-performing teams • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and project control • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a dynamic business environment • Fluent Finnish and English language skills; Swedish language skill is considered an advantage • Experience in driving process development and continuous improvement initiatives Why Join VEO?
