Job Description
Our team has an opening for a practical nurse who wants to do meaningful and person-centered work supporting clients in their daily lives in their own homes! We are seeking an experienced practical nurse for mental health and substance abuse services. The work is carried out in clients' homes utilizing the home care model, but the focus is on comprehensive support, guidance, and companionship in daily life. The work is independent and responsible client work, emphasizing genuine encounters, strengthening clients' resources, and building a safe and trusting care relationship. You are the person we are looking for if you share our values in your daily work: reliability, friendliness, and flexibility. You are a person with a positive outlook on life and treat clients with respect and individuality. You have the ability to work independently and a desire to develop our operations together with the team. We understand that home is an important and safe place for people. We support our clients in their daily lives and help maintain their functional capacity and life management according to individual needs. The work includes psychosocial support, daily guidance, assistance with errands, medication administration and monitoring, and overall support for client well-being. The most important aspect of the work is genuine client encounters, listening, and walking alongside with care. You have a practical nurse qualification and experience in mental health and/or substance abuse work. We value experience in independent client work and the ability to empathically but professionally face different life situations. You have protection against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and current theoretical training in medication administration (which you can also complete with us if needed). A driver’s license and access to a personal car are required. We pay mileage allowances according to state travel regulations for using your own car. We offer meaningful and varied work where you can genuinely influence clients' well-being and daily life. You will receive comprehensive orientation and support from a skilled and approachable team. We support your professional development through regular training and offer opportunities to develop activities together with the team. Your daily work will be shared with clients, team leader Satu Koivulahti, and our close-knit, supportive work community. We offer: a responsible, reliable, and domestic employer; comprehensive orientation; opportunities for professional growth; excellent benefits from the Tradeka Group (including discounts at Restel restaurants); friendly colleagues. We look forward to hearing from you! Applying takes only a few minutes, so submit your application today. The application deadline is June 5, 2026. We will interview candidates during the application period and arrange start dates quickly. Applicants must present a criminal record extract as required by the Social and Health Care Supervision Act, dated from January 1, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact Service Manager Satu Koivulahti at (etunimi.sukunimi@onnion.fi), phone 0417322560.
