The school has approximately 950 students and 110 staff members daily. In addition to general education, Jokiniemi School offers small group teaching, workshop teaching, and education for autistic and severely developmentally disabled children. Children learn to evaluate their own work with adult support. Jokiniemi School is recruiting for a fixed-term Finnish as a Second Language teacher position. The teaching mainly covers grades 8-9. Based on the number of students who speak languages other than Finnish as their mother tongue (S2), additional pay of 165.20 euros/month may be paid to qualified teaching staff. We may start interviewing candidates before the application deadline. Terms of employment are governed by the Municipal Education Personnel Collective Agreement (OVTES).
