Vantaa City, Education and Learning, Basic Education Jokiniemi School Employment period: Fixed-term 01.08.2026 - 05.06.2027 Jokiniemi Comprehensive School is located near Tikkurila, with excellent transportation connections. The school has approximately 950 students and 110 staff members daily. In addition to general education, Jokiniemi School offers small group teaching, workshop teaching, and education for autistic and severely developmentally disabled children. According to Jokiniemi School's own work instructions, we have always been a local school for all children, where each student can learn and grow at their own developmental stage and according to their abilities. Children learn to evaluate their own work with adult support. You can familiarize yourself with the principles of organizing education by reviewing the Vantaa Finnish-language basic education curriculum. At Jokiniemi School, our diversity is a strength. Jokiniemi School is recruiting for a fixed-term Finnish as a Second Language teacher position. The teaching mainly covers grades 8-9. Based on the number of students who speak languages other than Finnish as their mother tongue (S2), additional pay of 165.20 euros/month may be paid to qualified teaching staff. We may start interviewing candidates before the application deadline. Employment details: Qualification requirement: Qualification according to the Decree on Qualifications for Teaching Staff (986/1998). Terms of employment are governed by the Municipal Education Personnel Collective Agreement (OVTES).
