We are looking for practical nurses for the Helsinki home care Töölö 2 team. Töölö 2 is a bilingual home care team where you will work with both Finnish and Swedish-speaking clients. The working languages are Finnish and Swedish, and reporting and recording are done in Finnish. Our office is located with good transport links, less than a 10-minute walk from the Kamppi metro station. We work in the center of Helsinki. Our clients live in Töölö, Kamppi, Ruoholahti, Eira, and Kruununhaka, so you will work in varying locations in a central position. We have a good and encouraging team where working together is important. A new employee is welcomed warmly, and you don't have to be alone in your work - you can always get help and support from colleagues if needed. What is the work about? In home care, we support clients in living as good and independent a daily life as possible in their own home. You work with familiar clients and build confidential care relationships with them. The work is mobile, varied, and independent. The workday begins and ends at the workstation. Movement to clients is by walking, cycling, car, or public transport. Work is done every day of the week between 7:00 and 21:30 in morning and evening shifts. Eligibility criteria: Practical nurse degree and registration in the central register of professional personnel of the License and Supervision Authority (formerly Valvira) Good oral and written skills in Finnish and Swedish (at least level B2.1) Before the selection decision, the applicant must present an occupational health assessment of their ability to perform the tasks involved in the work and a certificate regarding a drug test. The position requires a tuberculosis certificate in accordance with Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. The position requires the successful completion of the LOP/LOVe LOP medication permit. Medication permits are completed at the start of employment and must be successfully completed by the end of the probationary period. Before accepting the position, the selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the law on the investigation of the criminal background of persons working with elderly people (Act on Social and Health Care Supervision 741/2023, Section 28).
