Job Description
Join OSAO in building the success story of northern professionals, companies, and the community. A part-time (80%) nutrition worker is sought for a fixed-term position at the Kaukovainio unit (student cafeteria Kotkanpoika) from August 3, 2026, to December 23, 2026. In this role, you will work as a nutrition worker at the Kaukovainio student cafeteria Kotkanpoika. Your tasks include preparing salads, vegetarian dishes, special diets, assisting the chef, and dishwashing. You will also participate in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and storage areas, self-monitoring, receiving deliveries, and packing supplies according to orders. You will collaborate with teachers in the restaurant and catering fields and supervise students in the unit’s restaurant. If needed, you will substitute for other nutrition workers in areas such as the lunch line and formal catering. You may also be asked to work at other OSAO student cafeterias within the Oulu economic region. You are a good fit for our team if you have teamwork skills, initiative, and enthusiasm for developing new practices. We value experience in preparing lunch salads, skills in dishwashing, and chef duties. Experience in a student cafeteria or educational environment, supervising students, working in a kitchen, and preparing special diets are considered advantages. Prioritization, adaptability to changing situations, and the ability to make independent decisions are strengths. A positive attitude, teamwork, and customer service skills are also required. The weekly working hours are 4-7.65 hours per day.
