We are seeking a Finnish and Literature teacher, primary location: Yli-Maarian School. The position is temporary, from August 7, 2026, to March 25, 2027. The duties of a Finnish and Literature subject teacher include 18 weekly lessons for grades 7-9. Yli-Maarian School educates students in grades 1-9. Students come from Yli-Maari, Moisio, Paattinen, and Jäkärlä. The school, located in the Ypsilon multi-purpose building, has approximately 700 students. Yli-Maarian School does not have special or focus classes; instead, we aim to provide good basic education for all students. Elective courses offer students the opportunity to deepen or broaden their skills based on their interests and hobbies. Qualifications are based on the Decree on Qualifications for Teaching Staff (986/1998). The selected candidate must provide a health statement (KVhL 7 §) and a criminal record extract (Act on the Background Checks of Persons Working with Children 504/2002).
