Karjanhoitaja - Alapyky Oy - Oulu, Finland

We are looking for a dairy farmer for a fixed-term employment at Alapyky Oy's dairy farm in Ylikiiminki. The fixed-term employment begins on September 1, 2026, and lasts until May 31, 2027. The position includes a 3-month probationary period. The working hours are 30-40 hours per week and include weekend work. Working days are split into two parts. Good Finnish language skills are required. Alapyky Oy is a modern dairy farm with 4 milking robots and approximately 300 cows. A new two-robot milking barn was completed in autumn 2025. In addition to the entrepreneur family, five employees work on the farm across three different barn units. We work closely together and develop our operations purposefully, in a relaxed and positive work environment. The work includes, among other things: Caring for cows and calves and monitoring their well-being, Feeding and bedding animals, Cleaning tasks, Monitoring animal welfare and flows on the computer, Other daily farm tasks. We hope you have: Education in agriculture or experience in similar tasks, Experience with Lely milking robots, Horizon management system, and Minun Maatilani software, A good work attitude and proactive approach, Willingness to learn new things and develop your skills, Good Finnish language skills, A valid driver’s license due to the location of the workplace and split working days. Semen insemination licenses and hoof care skills are considered an advantage.
