Job Description
South Savo Wellbeing Services Eloisa is seeking an emergency medicine specialist for the Savonlinna emergency department starting from August 1, 2026, or by agreement. The award-winning multi-disciplinary on-call service of South Savo Wellbeing Services offers diverse work in emergency care within a pleasant and motivating work community. The work is varied, multifaceted, and challenging. Your tasks include clinical patient work and supervising resident doctors. The weekly working hours are 38 hours and 15 minutes, including on-call hours. On-call hours are paid at a simple hourly rate deducted from the base salary, and on-call allowances are paid according to a separate local agreement. You may also have some influence on your work schedule and working hours. Our salary is competitive and based on Eloisa’s hospital doctors’ career ladder salary model: - Specialist / Demanding tasks, after 10 years of specialist training: €8,867.13/month - Specialist / Less than 10 years of specialist training: €8,464.63/month In addition, personal allowances and an emergency bonus are added on top of the task-specific salary. The qualification requirement for the position is a licensed medical degree (Health Care Professionals Act 559/94, Section 4). Additionally, a specialist degree in emergency medicine and sufficient spoken and written Finnish language skills are required. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act Section 48 and a health status report regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per Section 55. The selected candidate must present a health status report before appointment. A six-month probation period applies. Applications must be received by the deadline.
