School Attendance Assistant

We are hiring a School Attendance Assistant at Huhtasuon Comprehensive School in Jyväskylä. The role involves guiding and assisting students in classrooms, in small groups, or as a personal supervisor in various educational and care settings by guiding and supporting the student. Additional duties may include acting as a supervisor in morning and after-school activities (Jälkkäri) and/or in activities for students with developmental disabilities and autism (VERTTI) or in early childhood education. The School Attendance Assistant is expected to hold a professional qualification in teaching guidance, a specialized professional qualification, or another suitable qualification or related education. The position requires good communication and collaboration skills and a flexible working approach. Experience and solid competence in area-based teaching, as well as basic care tasks and use of alternative communication methods, are required. Terms of employment follow the Municipal Collective Agreement (KVTES). This is a full-time role with 38.25 hours per week. The base salary is 2505.36 EUR/month. In addition, we pay experience-based salary supplement under KVTES, up to 8% of the task’s base pay depending on prior experience. Start as soon as possible, by 1 October 2026 or as agreed. The successful applicant must present a police certificate concerning criminal background when working with children, not older than 6 months.
