We are seeking a part-time sports and health education teacher for the period from August 4, 2026, to June 4, 2027, at Vamia. The position may continue on a fixed-term basis beyond this period. At Vamia, students admitted through the joint application process generally complete their studies by participating in instruction. Students admitted through continuous admission (adults) have the opportunity to complete parts of the common qualification modules independently via online courses. We are looking for a sports and health education teacher to develop an online course covering the areas of Physical Activity and Health Education, as well as Work Ability and Well-being Promotion. The course will be created in the Moodle online learning environment in collaboration with another sports and health education teacher. Therefore, we are seeking a part-time teacher for the qualification modules of Physical Activity and Health Education, and Work Ability and Well-being Promotion. The position is fixed-term from August 4, 2026, to June 4, 2027, but may continue thereafter. The estimated annual workload for developing the Moodle course and managing submissions is approximately 300-400 hours. We require good digital skills from the applicant. Orientation and technical support for Moodle will be provided during the course development. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of teaching staff (986/1998, Section 14). We value: - Good interaction skills - Ability to engage with diverse learners - Independent and solution-oriented work approach. At Vamia, you will find an enthusiastic and professional work community and a great team of teachers for common subjects, who will support and provide ideas for lesson planning. We offer support from a large, established organization, friendly colleagues, and personnel benefits from the City of Vaasa. Additionally, we offer benefits related to city services, a company bicycle benefit, and an e-pass for culture, sports, and well-being. The probation period is six months. Applicants must attach scanned copies of certificates proving their qualifications and work experience, as well as a separate CV. The salary and terms of employment are governed by the OVTES collective agreement, section C. The formal hourly wage for a part-time qualified teacher is €35.16/hour. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued within 30 days, in accordance with law 504/2002. Interviews will be held in week 32. Candidates invited for interviews should bring original certificates of qualifications and work experience.
