You are the person we are looking for. Leisure instructor, nature guide, outdoor activities. Location: Leppävaara, Tuesday afternoon 1 hour, Leppävaara, Wednesday afternoon 1 hour. Fixed-term employment: September 1, 2026 – May 15, 2027. We are seeking a leisure instructor for a fixed-term hourly position. In this role, you will guide elementary school children in outdoor activities. The group will move outdoors, explore the local environment, use their senses, observe seasonal changes, play, tell stories, and learn small hiking and nature skills. You will be responsible for planning and leading leisure sessions. You should act as an inspiring and safe leisure instructor. Your presence will create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves; sensing, exploring, learning, and getting excited about nature nearby. You will represent the principles of a safe environment by ensuring their implementation in all guiding situations. We especially expect from you: - Sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience in guiding children’s hobby groups. - Good group management skills. - A humane and encouraging work attitude. - Willingness to commit to the task for a fixed period and to handle responsibilities reliably. Advantages include: - Studies or experience as a nature guide / outdoor instructor / youth work / social services / pedagogy / relevant education OR - A personal interest in nature or other relevant knowledge for the role. The role requires you to be of legal age, and if selected, you will need to present a criminal record extract (Act on the Background Check of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). As a good place to work, we offer a competitive hourly wage of €30/hour (including holiday pay) and accident insurance. Additionally, you will have support from a humane and coaching supervisor as well as the Okeiko coaching team.
