Job Description
You will work as a social worker in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, handling cases of children in need of special support. You will act as a primary worker and lead customer processes according to customer plans. You will be responsible for assessing clients' support needs and preparing official decisions. Your work includes handling client contacts and child protection notifications. Additionally, you will serve as an expert in family services within various networks and participate in systemic team work. The work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues, supported by weekly meetings and the support of a supervisor and team. Your role combines independent responsibility and multidisciplinary collaboration. You may also work remotely part of the week. We offer a responsible and meaningful temporary position from 1.9.2026 to 31.8.2027, where you can genuinely influence the well-being of families with children. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise as part of a skilled team. Our work community is flexible, supportive of diverse skills, encouraging, and safe. You will have the support of colleagues and a supervisor, along with regular weekly meetings that support your daily work. We expect you to be interested in working with families and children and to have the ability to assess clients' situations and make decisions. Previous experience in family services or child protection and familiarity with local cooperation networks are valued. Knowledge of the LC client information system is an advantage. You will succeed if you have organizational skills, a responsible work approach, and readiness to work both independently and in a team. We hope you have a proactive attitude and a developmental approach. The qualification requirement is a license as a social worker according to the Act on Social Welfare Professionals 817/2015.
