Job Description

Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Automation business as an R&D Senior Design Engineer in Vaasa or Helsinki, Finland. Contribute to the development of our MicroSCADA X product portfolio, a leading platform used by utilities and industries to monitor and control energy systems. As part of our local R&D team in Finland and a global development network, you will help design, develop, and continuously improve innovative software solutions that meet the highest quality and reliability standards. You will participate in software architecture discussions, evaluate design alternatives, develop and maintain software, review designs and code, create documentation, collaborate with global teams, and support quality and cybersecurity initiatives. Requirements include several years of software development experience, skills in C++, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, and experience with Windows-based real-time environments. Fluency in English and Finnish is required.
