Are you interested in rural development? Are you communicative, proactive, and enjoy networking? We are seeking a fixed-term project manager to implement the Northern Barn project. The Northern Barn brings together northern food expertise that is ecological and communal, aiming to improve self-sufficiency. The project collects traditional farming knowledge from villages, combining it with modern information, and shares lessons on local practices and self-sufficiency. The Northern Barn is an information dissemination project targeting village residents. We offer an interesting and independent role in the development of northern rural areas. In this role, you will gain insight into village sustainability and environmental work, including preparedness aspects. You can utilize your strengths. As a project manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive implementation of the project with support from Peräpohjola Leader ry staff. You will coordinate and build a cooperation network and report on the project's results. We expect you to have a guiding approach and the ability to see broad entities. Your tasks also include planning and executing project communication, organizing events in collaboration with villages and networks, conducting thematic workshops, and sharing information about various funding options with villages. Requirements for the project manager: · Experience in implementing projects · Strong project management skills · Independent and proactive work attitude and organizational ability · Networking skills · Knowledge of village activities and rural development · Skills in workshop facilitation · Good communication and interaction skills · Knowledge of project funding · Good IT and communication technology skills · Suitable lower university degree Preferred qualifications: · Knowledge of information dissemination methods targeted at communities · Familiarity with the project area · Knowledge of Leader activities and the Rural Development Fund · Expertise in sustainable development, climate, environmental themes, and food production
