The Lapland Welfare Area is seeking a general practitioner for a fixed-term position at Salla Health Center. The role is suitable for performing services during the YEK phase or the general medicine specialization phase, or for a specialist in general medicine. Start date is September 14, 2026, or by agreement. The length of the work period can be discussed. At Salla Health Center, 3-4 doctors work. Here, doctors can engage in diverse, well-resourced general practitioner work. The comprehensive services at Salla Health Center include, among others, urgent care, appointments with doctors and nurses, laboratory services, X-ray, family work, and home nursing. Doctors are attracted to Salla by the cheerful work atmosphere, diverse job content, and easy consultation opportunities. Senior doctors ensure the well-being and workload management of younger doctors and support them. The qualification requirement is the right to practice as a licensed medical professional under the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994) a74. Salary and employment terms are determined according to the Medical Agreement. A trial period, which is a maximum of half the duration of the fixed-term employment, applies. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required. We follow the vaccination requirements of the employment and infectious disease law.
