Transformer Fitter - Hitachi Energy - Vaasa, Finland

Hitachi Energy is seeking Transformer Fitters for versatile and demanding tasks in special transformer production at their factory in Vaasa, within the Transformers business unit. The role involves working as part of a global energy transition, utilizing the factory's long traditions and expertise in developing and manufacturing special transformers for demanding applications. This position offers opportunities for growth and development in transformer assembly manufacturing. Hitachi Energy is also investing approximately 170 million euros in a new production and technology center, Hitachi Energy Park, in Mustasaari, which will double production and testing capacity in Finland by 2027. Key responsibilities include the assembly of the transformer's active part according to parts lists and drawings, performing inspection measurements during installation, following safe working practices, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The role requires high-quality and efficient execution of work as part of a production team. Candidates should have experience in manual tasks, and previous experience in the installation and connection of machines and equipment is considered an advantage. Required qualities include good teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, initiative, and a willingness to work in shifts. Good physical condition, a safety-oriented mindset, and a flexible, positive attitude are essential. Proficiency in Finnish is required. A vocational qualification in a technical field or equivalent work experience, along with basic IT skills, is an advantage.
