Scania Industrial Maintenance AB is a technical production support company within Scania CV AB. We are responsible for production and facility maintenance within Scania and have approximately 1,200 employees in Södertälje, Oskarshamn, and Luleå. About the role At Scania Industrial Maintenance, we constantly meet new challenges that develop us as individuals and as an organization. We work in teams with knowledgeable colleagues in close cooperation with the production units. Currently, an exciting journey of change is underway where Scania's entire production apparatus is being converted towards the transport solutions of the future. We are in the middle of several large investments, including the electrification of engines and gearboxes. This means many exciting development opportunities for all our employees. In this role, you will become part of a team of maintenance engineers for machine acquisitions within the technology and project department. Our work is characterized by great technical knowledge, drive, and tempo. Furthermore, great value is placed on safety, cooperation, and continuous improvements. We work closely and together with the production technical groups and their project managers. Together we build Scania's future production. In your role, you will operate in the areas that manufacture parts for transmission and machining of engine components, and you report to a group manager for technology and projects. Your main tasks You have an important role where your responsibility is to ensure that the equipment procured meets the requirements according to Scania's technical regulations for production and maintenance. You work in project form together with the production technical departments with the local maintenance engineers as your customers. Your main tasks are to specify requirements regarding operational reliability and maintainability in procurements. Through Scania's machine investment process, you ensure that our requirements are translated into reality. Furthermore, you perform reference visits for concept evaluation both in Sweden and abroad. Together with the local maintenance department, you create the first maintenance plan, review and establish spare parts structures, and ensure systematic and planned handover of new production equipment to the local production and maintenance organization. Who are you We are looking for someone with a university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical and automation, or maintenance technology, or equivalent education. Previous experience as a production technician or maintenance engineer is a merit. We would like you to have experience with machining machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines, and have several years of experience in this area. We also value knowledge of drawing reading, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. The ability to work independently and in a team is also important. You have very good general knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and are proficient in Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Since you have collaborations with many different stakeholders, you need to find it easy to switch perspectives and be adaptive to both environment and situation. Your social ability and trustworthy manner make it easy for you to build long-term and sustainable relationships.
