The City of Alajärvi's Technical Department is hiring Lifeguard position starting 3 August 2026 on a permanent basis. Location: Alajärvi Swimming Hall. We require applicants to have the ability to work independently and proactively, and a willingness to work persistently towards a common goal. Previous experience in supervision and swimming hall work is considered an advantage. A swimming background, completed first aid courses, and readiness to work at the cash register and coffee station are also considered benefits. We value good communication and cooperation skills, work experience, and genuine interest in the position. Applicants must pass a lifeguard test swim before selection. The weekly working hours are 38.25 hours, including evening and weekend shifts. Salary is determined according to KVTES. The probation period is 6 months. Eligibility requires the successful completion of the SUH lifeguard course and sufficient practical experience related to the duties. Original education and work certificates must be presented at the interview. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health status report.
