Job Description
We are developing mental health and substance abuse housing services in the Western Uusimaa region and are now seeking an enthusiastic, development- and change-oriented mental health and substance abuse professional to join our growing team in Lohja. The Männikö communal living unit is expanding, and we are looking for a new counselor to join our team. Currently, our team includes a nurse, five counselors, a facility assistant, and a service manager as a supervisor. We offer a warm and professional work community to support your daily work. Our unit currently has 20 client places, which will increase by three in the fall when the client spaces in the second building of the yard are converted for communal living. Our work focuses on supporting clients towards sobriety and strengthening their overall functional capacity—psychologically, physically, socially, and cognitively. Our goal is to support clients towards more independent living and smooth everyday life. As a counselor at Männikö, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support clients according to their individual care plans. Clients are referred to the unit through centralized client guidance. In your work, you will encounter clients in various daily situations and support them, for example: - Supporting sobriety - Managing finances - Monitoring mental well-being and maintaining treatment contacts - Administering medication - Finding a daily rhythm - Social situations - Nutrition and well-being - Outside-the-home errands - Self-care You will actively contribute your expertise and insights to the team and participate in developing our activities.
