The city is seeking a permanent employee for the position of PROCUREMENT MANAGER. You are an inspiring and developing leader and a seasoned professional in public procurement. As a procurement manager, you will help shape the strategic future of the city's procurement activities and integrate services as an active partner into the daily operations of the entire organization and group. You will build close networks with industries and decision-makers and ensure the smooth operation of city procurement processes as the leader of a small expert team. In the coming years, the focus will be on complex areas requiring legal and technical expertise, such as large investment and construction projects and system renewals. The role emphasizes close dialogue with internal and external actors, service design, and the ability to support internal clients in demanding procurement processes. Key responsibilities include management of the unit's operations, group-level procurement guidance and implementation, strategic development of procurement, skills development, and network collaboration. We expect a suitable higher university degree, experience in public procurement, and good Finnish skills. Knowledge of procurement legislation, legal and financial expertise, and good cooperation, interaction, and networking skills are valued. Experience with Cloudia system is an advantage.
