Machine Operator/Production Line Operator Req Are you seeking an exciting career with great benefits? Prysmian Group is seeking new talent at our manufacturing plant in Manchester, NH! Pay: $22.36-$25.47 per hour Benefits & Perks: · $300 Yearly Safety Shoe Allowance · Night Shift Premium · 6% 401K Company Match · 3 Medical Options · 3 Dental Options · 3 Vision Options · Parental Leave Policy · Pet Insurance · Auto and Home Discounts · Accident Insurance · Critical Illness Insurance · Hospital Indemnity Insurance · 13 Paid Holidays · Anniversary milestone rewards · Up to 80 hours of vacation available in first year Principal Duties & Responsibilities: · Performs all tasks involved in the production of cable/wire · Follows standard work procedures and complies with all safety rules · Conducts daily safety start-up checks as well as safety checks throughout the shifts while using proper PPE · Meets all specifications of the Work Order, monitoring process to ensure customer satisfaction · Maintains and logs all information required supporting traceability and quality What spooling essentially is: Setting up (“stringing up”) the spooler to take finished wire Running the spooler until the required length/weight is reached Cutting the wire at completion Removing the filled spool Wrapping, boxing, or otherwise packaging the finished spool Preparing and re‑stringing the machine for the next spool Managing overlap in tasks (running the machine while finishing packaging) Qualifications: · Solid, stable work history with previous industrial experience preferred · Ability to Bend and Reach frequently, Push & Pull 75 lbs, and Lift 40 lbs · Can carry out verbal or written instructions · Meets attendance guidelines · Availability to work overtime (up to 12-hour shifts sometimes) · Ability to work night shifts, or some flexibility with shift schedule Principle duties and responsibilities: Performs all tasks involved in the production of cable/wire. Follows standard work procedures and complies with all safety rules. Primary work duties include: · Follows Standard Operating Procedures for machine operation · Monitors process as per specifications · Maintains housekeeping requirements · Performs operator Preventative Maintenance Tasks · Maintaining and log all information required supporting traceability and quality · Participate in cross-training activities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: · Ability to carry out verbal or written instructions · Ability to meet attendance guidelines · Ability to work overtime (over 36/40 hours in workweek). · Ability to work night shifts, or rotating shift schedule. Physical Work Activities and Exposure: Up to 12 Hour Shift 1. Work is regularly performed in factory setting: concrete or metal-plated floor, noise level usually loud. Due to nature of equipment operation, must be able to concentrate, focus and remain alert for duration of shift. 2. Must be able to Stand 10 hours per day 3. Must be able to Walk 2 hours per day approximately 40 ft 4. Must be able to Stand or Walk for multiple hours consecutively 5. Must be able to Ascend/descend stairs throughout shift 6. Must be able to Bend frequently 7. Must be able to Push 19 – 21 lbs frequently 8. Must be able to Pull 2 – 4 lbs. frequently 9. Must be able to Reach frequently 10. Must be able to Lift 10 – 40 lbs, moving objects at waist level 200-250 times per day 11. Must be able to Twist frequently 12. Use hands to Grasp - push/pull frequently
