The logistics coordinator role is to ensure that the practical arrangements for client assignments run as planned and smoothly. At the chemical terminal, assignments may cover organizing the transport chains for chemicals and hazardous substances either wholly or partly according to client needs. You ensure that the varying client needs are met and that goods move efficiently and safely domestically and internationally. Job description: In practice, duties include client communication, handling external and internal stakeholders, coordinating transport arrangements, ordering freight and container handling tasks, and invoicing tasks. Different systems are essential tools, and agile use of these systems is a core part of your work. A significant portion of contact with stakeholders happens via email or phone, though you may also meet client representatives or terminal staff face-to-face. Your client-facing communication must be professional in both spoken and written Finnish and English. Adhering to the agreed operating models for chemicals and hazardous materials is particularly important, which brings its own accent to the job: you are expected to be responsible, precise, and systematic. You are responsible for the progress of your own tasks, but you work in close cooperation with the open-plan office. If you have these attributes, you may be the right person: a precise, organized, and thorough approach and an interest in working and developing in the logistics field. Otherwise we are open to your background: logistics education may be an advantage, but not mandatory. It is also advantageous if you have previous work experience relating to chemicals and hazardous substances, for example in transport or warehousing tasks. More precise requirements: previous office work experience, preferably in logistics; fluent Finnish and English; agile IT skills (e.g., Excel, ERP or similar tools). We offer: Work is performed at the harbor-area office with full-time hours typically between 7:00-17:00. We expect employees to be flexible when needed, but flexibility is mutual, supported by a sliding-saldo system.
