Hovirinnan School is a primary school with approximately 300 students and about 60 teaching staff. In our shared school building, we also have Swedish-language basic education. The selected candidate must meet the qualification requirements for special education teachers according to regulation 986/98. In the absence of qualified applicants, non-qualified applicants will also be considered. In our school, special education includes class-specific small groups and city-wide, centralized special education groups for primary schools. We are now seeking a special education teacher for a special class. The teacher will instruct their own special class in collaboration with another special education teacher and a teaching assistant. Collaboration also occurs with general education classes. The position is for sixth grade. Successful performance in the role requires excellent interaction skills, a flexible approach, and a collaborative attitude. Experience in co-teaching to support students is considered an advantage. We value up-to-date ICT skills and enthusiasm for developing teaching and learning environments. Child safety is very important to us in all our activities, and the commitment of our staff to protect children's personal integrity and safety is an absolute requirement for the position. Therefore, we will check your criminal background before employment (Act on Criminal Background Checks for Persons Working with Children 504/2002). Qualifications are based on regulation 986/1998 regarding the qualifications for teaching staff. The salary for the position is between €2760 and €3530 per month, depending on qualifications, according to OVTES.
