Qualifications are determined according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) § 28; The qualification requirement for the position of early childhood educator is a basic degree in education and guidance, a basic degree in social and health care, or an equivalent suitable degree, which includes or has been supplemented with sufficiently broad modules in child care, education, and teaching. Applicants must submit a criminal record extract as specified in section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (504/2002). The employment relationship will follow a trial period.
