Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled public health psychologist to join our team! Do you want to support the well-being of families and children? We are seeking a public health psychologist for a permanent position at the Kanta-Häme Wellbeing Area in family center services. We offer you a meaningful job, which you will carry out at the Janakkala and Forssa locations. The role also offers the possibility of working partly remotely. The Janakkala office is easily accessible by train; the train station is about one kilometer away. Traveling in the Forssa area requires the use of a personal car. The responsibilities of the public health psychologist include medical visits for parents of children of nursery age in various themes related to the perinatal period, supporting early interaction, providing guidance and advice on child growth and development, and developmental assessments for children under preschool age. At the Kanta-Häme family center, we work multidisciplinary to support the well-being of children and families. The work is carried out independently within a multidisciplinary team. As a public health psychologist, you will work closely with families and professionals from various fields. Your closest colleagues will include other public health psychologists, as well as health nurses, doctors, and specialists such as speech therapists and occupational therapists. You will have the opportunity to influence the content and planning of your work and the development of public health psychologist services together with the team. Experience working with children and families is an advantage. The qualification requirement is to be a licensed psychologist in Finland. Interviews will be held during weeks 24-25. The salary for this position is €4,502.69/month. In addition to the base salary, we pay experience-based additional compensation, which can be 0%-8%. The accumulation of vacation days is also based on service time. Applications must be submitted through the Kuntarekry system before the deadline. Applicants working with children must present a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002, section 3) and the criminal record certificate (770/1993, section 6.2) before starting work. Salary and other employment terms are governed by the SOTE agreement. The trial period is six months. In direct patient and client work, vaccination protection required by the Infectious Diseases Act section 48 and a tuberculosis clearance as per section 55 are required.
