We are seeking a responsible designer to lead structural detailing projects in construction, focusing on bridges and other brace structures. You will work on demanding projects, combining high technical expertise, comprehensive project management, and the opportunity to influence both solutions and ways of working. The role involves designing, sizing and modelling structures with modern tools such as FEM software and AutoCAD, participating in design meetings, coordinating with stakeholders, and sometimes working on-site during construction. The position offers responsibility within a team of about 20 experienced structural engineers, and a four-person brace-structures group with close support. A hybrid work model is available with at least two days per week in the office. The role may also include project management duties for suitable projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of our Bridges and Brace Structures unit and help deliver safe, functional and feasible designs within schedule and budget.

Responsibilities
- Lead structural detailing for bridges and brace structures
- Estimate and design based on loads and regulations
- Collaborate with team and stakeholders
- Participate in site visits
- Ensure designs are feasible and compliant
Requirements
- Bachelor/Masters in civil or structural engineering
- Good experience with FEM programs (Sofistik in our stack)
- Proficient AutoCAD for drawings and designs
- Experience with BIM review; GH skills or supervision of GH work is a plus
- FISE-PV certifications are a plus but not mandatory as we support obtaining them
- Desire to develop design tools and methods
- Excellent Finnish (spoken and written)
- Hybrid work model with at least two days in the office per week
