Part-time Teacher in Student Guidance (Bisyssla) - Lohjan kaupunki - Lohja, Finland

We are seeking a fixed-term part-time teacher in student guidance, bisyssla, for the period 1.8.2026-31.7.2027. Källhagens School is a grades 7-9 school in Lohja, Virkby. Approximately 25 teachers work at our school. A special development area for the school is the Green Flag. Virkby Gymnasium is located in the same building as Källhagens School. You will be assigned a mentor teacher who will introduce you to the work and support you as a new member of our community. The school has a well-functioning student welfare team with which you will collaborate. Qualifications according to the decree on the qualification requirements for personnel in education (986/98) (http://finlex.fi/sv/laki/ajantasa/1998/19980986). The submitted certificates should show: degree obtained and studies demonstrating qualification (e.g., pedagogical studies 60 ECTS, subject didactic studies 60 ECTS, qualification for subject teaching 60/120 ECTS). The salary for those meeting the qualification requirement is 3,002.78-3,220.91 €/month, plus any annual bonuses and other allowances according to UKTA, depending on the grade you teach. Teachers in basic education in Lohja are paid 146.55 euros/month. You will also receive other allowances when working for the City of Lohja. The position includes a probation period of half the employment duration. The appointee must submit a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy’s unit in Lohja within one month of starting employment.
