School Assistant - Keravan kaupunki - Kerava, Finland

The City of Kerava is seeking a permanent School Assistant (85%) to start on August 10, 2026, at Kaleva School. Kaleva is a primary school for grades 1-6 with approximately 360 students, located in a peaceful, nature-rich area. In this role, you will work as a school assistant for grades 1-6 and as an afternoon activity instructor. Your duties may include assisting students with mobility restrictions or supporting students with diabetes. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who adapts well to changing situations and can act consistently. A positive attitude, strong interaction skills, and the ability to collaborate multidisciplinarily are essential. Athleticism and an interest in utilizing the local nature in afternoon club activities are considered an advantage. The position requires suitable professional education. Compensation and other terms are determined by the KVTES collective agreement. The role follows an annual working time model with 85% pay, averaging 32 hours per week per year, with approximately 38 hours per week during school terms and holidays serving as annual leave or time-off for balancing working hours. A 6-month probationary period applies. A criminal record extract is required before starting work.
