Job Description

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing specific repairs on mechanical components, as well as simple work on electrical systems. It is expected that they use wiring diagrams and manuals to perform their tasks with precision, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with safety and quality standards. Job Description: Be part of Scania Colombia! We are looking for a Mechanical Assistant to join our Services - Workshop team. If you have a passion for automotive mechanics and wish to contribute to the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles, this is your opportunity. Functions and Responsibilities: - Execute mechanical repairs on vehicle systems. - Perform basic work on Scania vehicle electrical systems. - Follow established procedures for spare parts and warranty requests. - Comply with safety and operation standards of the Dealer Operating Standard (DOS) - SHE. - Attend training and keep knowledge updated on Scania products. - Ensure proper use and care of workshop tools and equipment. - Provide technical support to customers and colleagues when necessary. - Provide assistance to broken-down vehicles on the road or at customer facilities when required. Profile Requirements: - Education: Technician or Technologist in Diesel, Automotive or related fields. - Experience: Minimum 1 year in Diesel automotive maintenance or heavy vehicles. - Personal Skills: Teamwork and independence, problem solving and attention to detail, good verbal and written communication, customer service orientation.
