Youth Outreach Worker - Forssan kaupunki - Forssa, Finland

We are seeking a full-time Youth Outreach Worker. The role involves engaging with at-risk youth under 29 years old for various reasons and helping them access services and support that promote their growth, independence, and entry into education and the labor market. Our youth outreach work includes diverse interactions with young people, providing individual guidance, and collaborating with educational institutions, youth services, and various networks. Activities take place in schools, youth centers, youth events, and in Forssa's middle schools and regional high schools. The job requires good communication and collaboration skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We value flexibility, the ability to connect with different young people, and a willingness to develop activities together with colleagues and partners. In addition to you, there are two permanent youth workers. The role may include evening and weekend work. The selected candidate must provide a criminal background check in accordance with the law concerning working with children. Qualifications: a basic degree or higher education degree in youth work, social services, or health care (e.g., community pedagogue or social worker).
