Personal Assistant - Kurvinen, Joosa - Helsinki, Finland

Hello! I am looking for a personal assistant for mostly night shifts during the summer. Continuing the work as occasional gigs after the summer may also be possible. I am a 36-year-old man with muscular disease, using a powered wheelchair. I need personal assistance around the clock and employ several assistants. I am now seeking a substitute during my annual leave. The work would start at the end of June and continue full-time until the end of August, with some possible work into September. The work is shift-based, with a schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off during part of the summer. I live in Herttoniemi near the metro station, work as a software developer, and enjoy activities such as music production, cooking, and attending music events. Please note that the assistant's shifts often end in a different location than where they start, so public transportation is recommended over a car. The tasks of the personal assistant include helping with all daily activities, such as eating, dressing, shopping, going out, and bathroom needs. Essentially, accompanying me and acting as my hands and feet whenever needed. The work is often quite relaxed and calm, not necessarily continuous active work, so it’s good if you can also spend time reading or quietly, but always be able to quickly refocus on work when needed. The work is not about supervision or companionship but mainly physical assistance. No formal qualifications or previous experience are required. If you are responsible, aware of your surroundings, very reliable, and able to listen calmly to instructions and follow them, you will manage well. The work does not involve lifting with hands, but reasonable physical fitness is helpful for dressing and position changes. I am the employer, and the salary is paid by the City of Helsinki according to the HETA union collective agreement, salary group B1 (13.89 €/h).
