How does starting a new job this year sound? We are looking for a full-time care assistant for a temporary position at a unit for persons with severe disabilities in Riihimäki. The start date can be immediate or in July 2026, based on your preference. The position will last through the summer until September, with the possibility of extension depending on the unit's needs. Job description: The location is in Riihimäki. The facility includes units for both individuals with developmental disabilities and severe disabilities. This temporary position is in the severe disabilities unit (neurological and physical disabilities), and the work involves physical care similar to hospital environment. You will work on varied tasks, utilizing your skills in basic care and guidance work. The unit provides housing and care services for persons with disabilities, supporting their daily lives with a rehabilitative approach. The work involves two-shift rotation throughout the week, Monday to Sunday, with full working hours. Requirements: You can be a qualified care assistant registered with Valvira or a recent graduate. We especially value the ability to work independently and strong communication skills. You should also have valid medication rights or be prepared to obtain them. Experience working with persons with disabilities is preferred. Applicants must have a vaccination certificate and hygiene pass in accordance with infectious disease law for work in client and patient areas. Due to legal changes, those working with elderly clients must present an acceptable criminal record extract as specified in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act.
