Project Development Manager - Aro Systems Oy - Helsinki, Finland

We are looking for a Project Development Manager for Aro Systems to strengthen our skilled bid calculation team in Helsinki. This is a new role where you can influence the content of the position, develop processes together with the rest of the organization, and leave your mark on how project development and bid calculation are improved in the future. As a Project Development Manager, you will lead large projects during the bidding and development phases. You are a key part of the contracting leadership team and responsible for advancing the calculation and project development activities to the next level. You will serve as the leader of the bid calculation team, managing a team of over 5 specialists, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. At the same time, you will develop future operational models for bid calculation and utilize AI and automation opportunities within processes. Your role emphasizes a strong business and sales orientation. You understand customer needs deeply and can translate them into competitive, value-adding solutions. You will be partly responsible for the commercial success of projects and participate in customer development and the identification of new business opportunities. You will be involved in developing our project portfolio by participating in the initiation of new projects early on. You will work at the customer interface, identifying new project opportunities, building and maintaining a close customer network, and advancing solutions in collaboration with clients. You will prepare cost estimates in the early planning stages to support customer decision-making regarding project initiation and different implementation options. We expect from you - A suitable university degree (e.g., electrical, HVAC, or building services engineering) - Strong experience in the construction sector, especially in building services - Experience in bid calculation and cost estimation at the early project stages - Experience in design management and overall project control - Good understanding of building services systems and their cost structures - Strong business and sales mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and develop them into competitive solutions. You are results-oriented and possess excellent collaboration and communication skills. You work independently, plan, organize, and lead your work purposefully.
