Ylivieska has nine elementary schools, one combined school, and one middle school. Kaisaniemi Middle School teaches students in grades 7-9. The Taanila Combined School educates students in grades 0-9. Approximately 700 students attend middle schools in Ylivieska. As a substitute, you can specify your preferred school. Applicants are responsible for updating their application and availability in the register. Keeping contact and availability information current is a prerequisite for being offered substitute positions. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/98). Applicants without formal qualifications will also be considered. A criminal record extract as per section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act must be presented if the total duration of substitutes exceeds three months within a year.
