We are looking for an early childhood education social worker for a group with 12 children, working alongside a preschool teacher and a childcare worker. The team is cheerful, enthusiastic, and dedicated. We develop Helsinki’s early childhood education according to the city’s plan, emphasizing play, social skills, and sensitive child encounters. The daycare in Lauttasaari has excellent indoor facilities, sports halls, and workshops, with nature accessible nearby for diverse learning environments. The social worker plans, assesses, and implements pedagogical activities, supporting individual learning in accordance with Helsinki’s early childhood and pre-primary education plans, and the child’s VASU. You will build the activity culture and learning environment of your group, support social growth, and promote equality by integrating social pedagogical perspectives. Requirements include a higher education degree in social and health care with at least 60 ECTS in early childhood education and social pedagogy, or a social worker degree supplemented with these studies. Good Finnish language skills are required, along with a valid criminal background check and a tuberculosis test for working with children.
